I like to draw horror comics about cliches, because I consider cliches horrible, especially ones that become so popular that you hear them way too often. In the case of "you go, girl", the meaning has gradually changed. It started as a compliment, but over time it has developed a different meaning. Now, it's more likely to mean, "I would never do anything that foolish, but I admire your blatant disregard of social criticism", or something like that.
