This is one of those webcomics that pushes the envelope of the definition of comics.

Granted, this title hasn't been around very long yet, but I'm completely impressed!  If you take the time to click through to the interactive site, you'll experience a whole different comic reading experience, complete with audio and the works.

I believe the groundwork that John Barber laid over at ModernTales with his New York, New York title, combining clickable interactivity and animation, Lizzy furthers with audio.  Unlike much of what CrossGen did with their online comics, the audio doesn't seem weird, since there are no voice actors stiffly going through a page of script, and the interactive nature of Lizzy allows you to read at your own pace.  I think where CrossGen fell flat in eliminating so much of the comic reading experience of filling in what you as the reader imagined the voices to be (they went too far), I think Lizzy succeeds in being the happy medium -- just enough gimmickry to make it fun, but I still get to read the comic the way I want to.  Plus, since this title feels like it's made for the web, I'm not squinting to read or angry that an interactive word balloon covered over someone's face so I could read it on a painfully sized-down image that is nothing more than a glorified advertisment for buying the hard copy.

Of course, I haven't even mentioned the art -- wowwee.  Nice stuff.  I'm looking forward to seeing where this story goes.

I ran into this amazing creator a couple years back and I'm finally glad he's back in the game. Very funny and well worth the wait.

This comic is just an introductory to get you used to the humor of this creator. His imagination for characters is legendary in many underground comic circles.  If you run across Davis...Pay Attention!!!  His humor is dark, sardonic and perverse, but in a captivating way. He has many projects he is currently working on in a grand scale, so get ready, This up and coming creator will rival the Allen Moores and Neil Gaimans, even though his style is nothing like them. Follow closely.  Keep up the good work, glad you're on track.  I am really held in suspense.  there should be a hair rally!!!
